The Illumination: A Pictorial Contemplation for Easter

An online contemplation exploring the phenomenon of light in the darkness, as experienced by the disciples on the path from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday.
Using the paintings of modern masters, artist Fiona Campbell leads this art contemplation using a special form of phenomenological observation called beholding that allows us to experience an artwork from within it.
Suggested reading: St John Chap. 13, St Luke Chap 24.

About the presenter
Dr Fiona Campbell is an artist, lecturer and phenomenologist with a special interest in the Goethean approach. Out of her research and practice, she has developed a form of Goethean observation called beholding which is especially suited to the deep contemplation of artworks.
Trained at Tobias School of Art and Therapy in England and UTS in Communications, she has been painting and researching the Easter theme for over 20 years. Fiona is a founding member of the Stream of Life Research Studio, which promotes the phenomenological way of seeing the world.
