Heart Fire Centre for Speech and Drama is an initiative by graduates from the training developed by Dawn Langman which strives to fully integrates the speech methodology and eurythmy arising out of Rudolf Steiner’s work with the acting methodology developed by Michael Chekhov.
Its present goal is to evolve further the contribution this methodology can make
to training actors, to teacher training and to personal development. It is
envisaged that out of the present short courses that are offered will emerge a
professional training in this methodology that will
1 prepare teachers able to bring the riches of speech, language and performance
both to adults and appropriate to all levels in a Steiner school,
2 cultivate an ensemble able to contribute an art of performance that bears
witness to the body/soul/and spiritual dimensions of the human being.
Heart Fire is an incorporated association and a registered business. Its activities
are based in Samford Valley, Queensland in close proximity to the SV Steiner
School which hosts our weekend workshops and the Pacifica College of Eurythmy
with whom we cultivate an evolving fruitful exchange.
From 2026 onwards Heart Fire will have its own studio.
