The Life of the Line: 7 Ways of Drawing
28 February,2024 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
| $AU200Event Navigation

“A dot is a line that went for a walk.”
Paul Klee 1925
In this famous quote, German-Swiss artist Paul Klee underlines the dynamic nature of the line as both the means to conduct the human eye across the space of an artwork and to playfully engage our imagination in the many possibilities that emerge when we simply take a line out for a walk.
Drawing often is not recognised as a form of art like painting or sculpture. Nevertheless, as an artform in its own right, drawing offers a wide variety of artistic and therapeutic possibilities which should not be underestimated.
WHAT WILL WE LEARN?
This short course provides seven imaginative ways of using the line that will stimulate your inner Klee while giving confidence in your drawing skills. The course from line to surface, thinking to feeling, with an smooth transformation that will open up the world of drawing to you in a new way.
Introduces experiential line, dynamic drawing, metamorphic line, shaded drawing, representational drawing, charcoal drawing and pastel drawing.
